Who we are
We are the 1st Baldwyns Park Cubs Hathi and 1st Baldwyns Park Cubs Seeonee, both are part of the 1st Baldwyns Park Scout Group The Cub Pack is the second section of the Scout Group following on from Beavers. Cub Scouts are young people aged between 8 and 10 ½. There is core flexibility in the age range: young people can join from age 7½ and can move to Scouts between age 10 and 11.What we do
For Cubs, excitement and adventure are key. Their programme offers a huge variety of activities surrounding areas of fitness, global and beliefs; whilst allowing them to be creative and get involved in their local communities. Cubs are introduced to exciting outdoor skills and take part in adventurous activities, as well as camps and residential experiences.Location & meeting times

Leaders
Currently we have 3 Cub Leaders in both Packs All of our Leaders are DBS checked regularly, and trained in First Aid, Safeguarding and Safety. Further Scout Training is also completed.Uniform
The Cub Scout uniform consists of a dark green polo shirt and a dark green sweatshirt; both can be obtained from local shops, online or from the Bexley District Scout shop detailed below. All badges should be sewn onto the sweatshirt.Invested into the Cub Colony
Once Cubs have attended between 4 and 6 weeks they are eligible to be invested into one of the 1st Baldwyns Park Cub Packs and wear the scarf and woggle, note: Cubs cannot wear the 1st Baldwyns Park scarf or woggle until they have been invested, even if they have just moved up from 1st Baldwyns Park Beavers. A Cub must know the Cub Scout promise and be able to repeat it unaided at the investment ceremony. If a new Cub is still wearing their Beaver uniform they can continue to wear their scarf and woggle.
Help from our Parents
We expect our Cubs parents/carers to help out with Cub Pack meetings on a rota basis, this normally means coming along to help out once every 16 weeks or so. This means giving up an hour of your time approximately once every 3 months, which we don’t feel is too much to ask. If you feel you aren’t able to help us in this way, you need to make this known to your Leaders as soon as possible. We publish a parents’ rota at the start of every new term. Please check your availability to help out on your scheduled night and please alert one of the leaders as soon as possible if for any reason you cannot attend. We are happy for you to arrange swaps with other parents if that helps, but please let us know. What we do not want is no parent attending to help and us not being informed.Online Scout Manager (OSM)
The Leaders at 1st Baldwyns Park use an on-line system to handle the administration of the Scout Group. When you join you will be sent a link so, that you as parents can create an account to see all your child’s badges achieved listed and where to put them, our upcoming programme and update your details.Cost
The cost is £36 per term. (£108 per year) this included your yearly membership to the Scout Assioation. All Camps and outings are extra.
